Topic: Anderson/Wakeman tour back on?? Posted: September 17 2006 at 09:55 |
- just read this at Rick's website.
and this at Jon's:
Sounds like an organisational shambles, this tour. I'd like to apologise to anybody who read the last post I did that said it was cancelled. Apparently, there will be further updates about the tour's status from tomorrow.

Into this wild Abyss the fiend
Stood on the brink of Hell and looked a while,
Pondering his Voyage.

I wish they'd make their minds up!!! I'm really looking forward to this. I have checked the web site for the Cliffs Pavilion in Southend and they're still selling tickets, so either it's back on or nobody told them it was off in the first place.
btw no need to apologise Salmacis, you were only passing on information from other sources.

Both Jon and Rick's web sites promised an update on the situation today. Nothing has appeared yet. Here's hoping...

Well a slight update on the situation on Jon's site but not much. Looking pretty doubtful imo. Shame, was looking forward to the Cambridge Gig.

Hooray!! Just read this at Jon's Site:
Dear Friends:
Now that problems concerning the tour have finally been overcome, Rick and Jon are pleased to announce that their October UK Tour 2006 will be going ahead as planned.
Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, two of the dates have had to be canceled:
5th October - Doncaster 6th October - Glasgow
Additionally, the Folkstone date has been moved to the 26th of October.
Our thanks to those of you who had patience while our representatives straightened things out. You are the true friends of our music.
We are looking forward to being with you next month!
Much Love,
Rick and Jon

Don't care for the actual status of the art of both Wakeman and Anderson. But I saw the websites anyway and now my eyes are burning... the horror...

Disappointing to see the Glasgow gig cancelled. When Rick's "UK" tour a few years back turned out to be a tour of England, he undertook to visit the Celtic nations soon. It seems we're still waiting.....
