Topic: Oddest place you've ever woken up Posted: August 28 2006 at 23:03 |
We've all had nights where we party a little too hard...one too many shots, one too many bong rips...And can wake wake up the next day in the last place you might have expected. For me personally, I woke up in my friend's fireplace in his basement. The last memories of the night before was having a roman candle war at 3 A.M. in a nearby park after a (fantastic) Pearl Jam concert.
Anyway, share your experiences here.

not really a place, but a situation...
the morning after my 21st birthday: In my own bed (thank God), pants around my ankles, shoes on, and a line of toilet paper stretching from my clenched fist out the door, down the hall, still connected to the roll in the bathroom.

on the sidewalk in disneyland on a busy sunday. I wasn't passed out because of alcohol or drugs, I was just really tired and lied down and went to sleep.

In a bean bag, after a disguise party, hugging and with my hands placed around the breasts of a girl that was somekind of "conceptual nemesis" (we were in the same class in art school, we always fought about the way to aproach painting). I really think I had too much wine that night...
On the same "too much wine" track, I once woke up in a bus, having pass the stop of my house by like 10 blocks. Then, I woke up in a taxi, with an "empanada" (kind of a bread, filled with meat, onion, olive and egg), in the opposite direction (going back home). I was pretty far away, in fact it was another city, like 30 minutes away. I don't remember getting off the bus or buying the empanada, also, the moment in wich I get on the taxi.
One day, I went totally drunk from a party to the "Graphic expresion class". I curled up bellow somekind of furniture from wich we use to hang the works of the class. I stole the little mattress that was used for the model. The paper covered me completely, and I slept the whole afternoon (I thought I could catch some sleep, like 30 minutes, before the starting of the class). All day, the teacher was talking about how miserable and decadent it was to steal that mattress. I woke up and came out from that mountain of drawings, and I got a severe punishment.

The first party I went to when I was 16, got absolutely hammered and
woke up on the floor in a bathroom. Unfortunately, I was awakened
by a cop's flashlight.

Not that odd a place I know, but I woke up on the floor of the pub the morning after my stag night. I'd passed out at some point during the evening (after being carried round the pub naked) and my mates just left me there and carried on drinking. Even worse, the photos of the aforementioned carry around the pub were produced at the wedding reception the following week.

I once woke up stuck to the pavement in the middle of an housing estate after passing out on my home from a party. I was lucky to be alive as it was mid-winter and the side of my face had actually frozen onto the pavement. I had a ridiculous red patch on my face for a few weeks...

In an ambulance, following an ethylic coma.
The firemen pick me in the street, and i agreed to come with them (which i don't remember at all, the only blackhole i had in my life).

The only time I've ever blacked out, I woke up in some rocks at the beach after a crazy bonfire night. The good thing I wasnt the only one and the lifeguards didn't notice us lying there.

Great thread The only really weird place where I have woken up is in the stairs in my grandmother's house. What is odd about this is that I don't remember at all why I was in the stairs and that I wasn't drunk or high. To this day, I have never found why I was there sleeping in the staircase.
