What magazines do you currently read or subscribe to, or have read or subscribed to?

Magazines I've enjoyed
  • Downbeat
  • Smithsonian
  • Electronic Musician
I'll be getting Bass Player magazine too, got a year subscription as a holiday gift.

Are there any prog magazines out?

Acoustic Guitar.

It was the only music mag in my kids school supported magazine drive. It was that or Proctologist Monthly and I've seen my share of assholes.

I haven't seen any real recent prog mags.  I have all of the orginial Contemporary Keyboard magaizines that came out in the 70's and lasted 4-5 years. Those were very prog.

I've stopped reading magazines.  I can't find any that I don't think is a waste of my time.  I've read that a person can only get through 5,000 books in a life time, and I plan to get as close to that number as possible.

I read two music magazines:

  • Empire Magazine - It's a magazine about prog and art rock made by people of www.Empire-Music.de, the best german mailorder for prog...4 times a year with CD
  • Eclipsed Rock Magazine - Magazine about Art Rock and prog. They really support newcomers like "The amber Light". Also with CD!http://www.eclipsed.de/index.html
