why are so many of the top artist from England gay or
bi-sexual. Do they have the most contempt for being
born or is it something they feed them(eels, toad in
the hole, bangers and mash). Maybe its in the pint.
You dont have such a mainstream in America,
Germany or even France.
Anyway a few for starters:
Elton John
David Bowie
Freddie Mercury
Pete Townsend
Adam Ant

Vanish in the air you'll never find me
I will turn your face to alabaster

Er...Isn't California the World capital for homosexuals ??
Anyway a persons sexual inclination is no barrier for Musical excellence - Robert John Godfrey of the Enid was the "Only Gay in the village" but he produced some FINE music.........
And Manchester has a Gay village based round CANAL STREET.......

The arts in general have always had a much larger share of gay people than other professions, don't quite know why though.

Lou Reed, Barry Manilow, Ricki Martin, Melissa Etheridge, k.d. lang, the Scissor Sisters []... its just not a British thing by far... my new favorite name for all gay band is called Deep Dickollective....a hip-hop group out of Oakland

Neither was Adam Ant gay...c'mon dude, if you're gonna try to be controversial, keep your references straight!
Oh, and the assertion that there are no gay performers from the US Germany and France...just a big ROFLMAO to that!
If I didn't know better, I'd think you were just trying to stir things up...you'll need more ammunition for this kind of battle of wits.

Percentage? As if I had nothing better to do with my life! Of course I don't have the percentage, but don't tell me that it's not common knowledge that especially the theater has always attracted gay people. I assume Ian McKellan would know better than either of us and he said so. I'm sensing that you're taking this awfully personally. Something you're not telling us?

I'm not taking it personaly
Common knowledge, is not necessarily common thruth. that's all I tried to say.
If you repeat a false statement enough times, you will end up believing it yourself. Without proof I will take nothing for granted, and even with proof I will remain sceptical on how to interpret te given data.
BTW. I'm as straight as an oaktree in a small breeze.
