Just saw this on the "Dead Rock Stars" site; Locke played keyboards for Spirit on all of their great early albums; Spirit was greatly underrated and certainly influenced a number of prog bands (are they on here yet as Proto-prog?).  I saw them in San Antonio at the Jam Factory in the early 70's; they were quite good.  The first time I heard them was on AM radio; it was the fantastic "Mechanical World".
