Santa brought me a closet organizer, which I'm actually very happy about. Organizing my closet will help to cure the disaster that is my room.

"Phallus Dei"?

It's crazy and psychedelic OK - maybe not as polished and certainly not as structured as later albums - but I like it!

It's got flavours of everything (circa 1969) in there - you probably find it a bit overwhelming at first, especially if you're only used to Hawkwind, and not used to late 1960s psychedelia or Krautrock; if you don't like this, avoid Can or any of the other "virtually freestyle" German bands.

Oddly enough, I was listening to it last night, and planning some revisions for my review, as it's one of those albums that feeds you little bits each time you hear it, but only over time - ie don't expect to stick it on repeat and ending up loving it! It's an album that will grow on you - if you let it

Santa didn't bring me any music - as usual. But that's because I'd brain him if he did - my musical taste changes on an hour-by-hour basis. Probably more often.

Mind you, he brought me a book of humourous musical anecdotes, and "Scar Tissue" (Anthony Keidis' biography).

Clutching at Straws - Marillion

Merry Christmas to you all!

Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!

I finally got a copy of the x box game "fable" and i must say i am a little dissapointed!

We were promised a totally free and open game in the vein of "Morrowind" where you could go wherever you like in the land,if you want to climb that mountain you can if you want to cross over to that island you can.........except you cant! it is very linear much like most rpgs at the moment and you are restricted as to where you can travel.

On the plus side you can chat up chicks and get em to fall in love with you!!(oh well, if i cant do it for real..........!)

i give it 6.5 out of 10

^ dude, I'm totally with you...I bought Fable the day it came out (I fell for the hype) and I was very disappointed too.

On the positive side, I got KOTOR 2 for Christmas and that's about as much fun as a linear RPG can get (for the non-linear fun, I'm looking forward to ES4: Oblivion...if it's even half as open-ended as Morrowind, it will be worth months of exploration!). I also got Halo 2, so don't be surprised if my posts are a little fewer and farther between for a while (hear the sound of several members rejoicing).

My wife absolutely loves DDR, though...I might not have the unrestricted access to the Xbox that I've come to expect...

I also got a few books and some cooking materials...my Christmas turkey ended up even better than my Thanksgiving one, although it took longer...we didn't sit down to eat until almost 8pm.

We took the bulldogs down to PetSmart on Christmas Eve; they got gifts and the big one left a nice stinky steaming pile right by register #1...I probably should have been embarrased but I was too busy laughing my a$$ off...
