And here's my holiday message for Keith Emerson (and Greg Lake, and Carl Palmer):

Think of a good concept for an album, listen to some deep, dark and complex classical and modern music for inspiration, get back together just for a few months for an ELP swansong, compose 8 high quality Progressive Rock tracks for the concept album and release them on an independent label (no excuses for producing commercial tracks). Plenty of melody acceptable; lightweight pop not acceptable; only one - preferably no - rehash of a classical piece allowed. Betcha you can't do it!

I've been told that the people weren't running from Godzilla... they were all, including Godzilla, running from Keith's singing.... I can well understand that...

One of my favorite bands???  I have others??

And I clearly wasn't mocking ELP.... Keith maybe... but then, he's the one that did that clip.... he asked for it!!  And if Greg did something that silly, I'd make fun of him too...   However, I'd let him spank me for it later...

"Emerson, Lake & Palmer In Concert" was recorded in Montreal (in Aug. 77), as was the Works Live VHS...and that music video of Fanfare was recorded there in Feb. 77 during rehearsals for the tour.. I was there when that was recorded... Frigging coldest place I've ever been. There was no roof over that stadium then. It made NYC feel tropic!!

hey threefates, I'm a big fan of ELP too, but I've got a question for which you might know the answer:

Is there a live version of Trilogy? Where? I looooove that song, but have only found the studio version :(

Thanx!
