Hey, all.

I wanted you all to hear my progband.  We have a lot in common with bands such as Umphrey's McGee, Porcupine Tree, Pink Floyd, Explosions in the Sky and Phish.

I value the PA forumites input.

This is a song from "Time to Fly" called The Golden Horizon

it is 7 mins or so.

Could you go through a critique?

I'll post more songs if you all want.

I'm downloading it right now so I can hear it. It's heavy for a 7mins song perhaps you should post it at 128kbps for sampling purposes

I've already downloaded it and just finished to listen. The guitarist(s) is outstanding I can't tell you if it sounds like porcupine tree because I haven't listen much of it. The sung part has some clipping, perhaps the singer blew over the mic. By the way which instrument you played in the song?. I liked the song don't think I'm a prog purist I like hard rock a lot. I liked guitar work. I'm a musician myself so you can be sure there's talent on it.

Don't worry by the clipping it happens all the time, you need a pro mic to avoid it, it isn't really up to you and the song is not spoiled by the clipping in anyway. Furthermore you're almost children for god sake! I'm 21 and I really would like to be able to do something like that. That's prodigious stuff.

It was pretty good. The only low point is the production. It could be improved. However, I know you're beginners so for now, those things are not important. The actual material is what counts and you have one very good song right there. Keep on rocking! Clap

RIP in bossa nova heaven.

I'm listening to a streming audio in myspace of the song habanero. There's a bass solo, good stuff.

I loved when the vocals came, the song grew much better. I didn't like the intro much because the guitar did not fit with the bass line. But in overall a very good song.
This is an electrified fairytale
