I use Beta 3 and yes it doesnt work well with the forum formatting.
Biggest annoyances:
1. Quoting picks up all the format codes.
2. Smileys are placed at the very end of the text
3. WYSIWYG does not work either.

Good things:
1. The forum loads far far faster than Firefox.
2.The tabbed browsing is excellent (although stolen from Firefox)

I will move this to Help Us Improve The Site,so that Max might see it...

well of course I have a fast connection but I found with Firefox that if I hit "end" on my keyboard I would only get halfway down the page,I have no such problems with IE7...

It might simply be solved by updating the forum software ... wysiwyg works fine in IE7, it's just that the forum software doesn't recognize the browser.Smile

Or you could just use Firefox as it's a far better browser!

The wysiwyg editor in IE is much more comfortable as that of Firefox. I AM currently using Firefox, but I wish they could improve it!

That's server-side; nothing to do with your browser.

I would mention that a beta version of anything is likely to have problems.

No it isnt.Have you used IE7 Gecko
IE7 is better IMO although in terms of the usual security problems associated with Microsoft product no doubt Firefox is safer.

No, but previous IE versions annoy me.  I also prefer the personal features of Firefox, like tabs and skins.  I'm not sure if IE7 incorporates these features or not.

I may have to download IE7 anyhow, as I still need IE for my Micro$oft updates.

My mother's IE has completely stopped working on her too, she has to use Firefox now.

Ah, something else they have stolen from Mozilla then... typical!

Security issues are always an issue with IE.  I get far less spyware than I used to (I do still get some though).

I just dislike the normal style and colours of browsers, hence the need for an alternate skin.

I shall stick with Firefox.

Wooo!  Tony's connection is quicker than mine...

I used to have a very old version of Opera, but I don't even have it now.  I use Firefox pretty much all the time and I have no issues with it.
