A silly question, but...

   Yes, I know this is a silly question, but I'd like to know the answer..........

At the bottom of the first forum page is a list of active users, which tells you who's logged on & online.
If you're a lazy sod like me, you leave your account permanently logged on (and I don't believe I'm the only one... ). So, if you're permanently logged on, but not actually online......does your name appear in the list of "active users" ? (A bit like asking whether the fridge light stays on when the door's shut...... )
