Hey guys. Just a heads up. Moogfest 3 is coming to New York City tomorrow. It's going to be an amazing lineup of synth gods. Don't miss!

To honor Moog and commemorate his groundbreaking achievements, several renowned keyboardists and longstanding Moog users will gather on Thursday, June 22 at B.B. King's Bar & Grill in Times Square (237 w. 42nd Street between 7th & 8th Avenues) to participate in a gala Moogfest.

The list of performers includes:
Keith Emerson (ELP),
Jan Hammer (The Mahavishnu Orchestra),
The Mahavishnu Project
 Jordan Rudess (Dream Theater),
The kids from the Paul Green School of Rock,
Roger O'Donell (The Cure),
DJ Logic,
and Frank Lucas.

Showtime is 7:30 p.m. Tickets for this special event, produced by Charles Carlini of In Touch Live!, are $35 and are available at the box office (212-997-4144) or at all Ticketmaster outlets.

Just got back, and boy was I impressed...being 22 years old, I'm quite content on seeing the Mahavishnu Project do covers...Jan Hammer played 5 songs with them as well and was phenomenal...

Emerson was his old self...didn't catch the name of his band's guitarist/singer, but not nearly as good as Lake....The kids from School of Rock were outstanding.

Jordan Rudess played the new version of the Moog which is being dubbed "The Little Fatty" to perfection.  I heard Frank Lucas for the first time, and thought he had a nice, upbeat style of playing.

My only complaints from the night were the extremely long delays between acts by the stage crew, and Bernie Worrell's cracked out surprise guest appearance playing with DJ Logic, where he played little snipets of show tunes amidst a terrible, terrible improv.

Mark Bonilla is playing with Emerson? He is a monster guitar player, he played out live with Kevin Gilbert and Toy Matinee and had a killer solo album like 15 years ago called EE Ticket. I exchanged emails with him a few years ago, the guy is great.

Frank Lucas just recently signed up on our label and then got considered for the opening slot at the fest, he wrote me a quick summary last night and said it was just fantastic, he said the crowd was great and the other players were amazing, he was still giddy from the experience. Frank has been around for a while playing for people like Neal Zazza, but he's out front now and was very excited.
