sUPPOSEDLY THIS SYNTH WAS BIG NEWS WHEN IT CAME OUT, AND IT IS FEATURED ON kING cRIMSONS lIZARD WITH 2 MELLOTRONS....WHAT IS IT, IS THERE SOFTWARE FOR IT AND WAS IT ANY GOOD?

http://www.vintagesynth.com/ - look under EMS. Dunno if there's a dedicated softsynth emulation, if not I'm sure there WILL eventually be one soon for this guy.

It's a software version of the SYNTHI AKS wich is essentially a VCS3 in a suitcase.The software is made by Rehberg,a company that sell refurbished originals under the license of EMS for more than 20 years.To my knowledge,it's the only software version of that legendary synthesizer.
