I know there is someone on here who can help, or send a link to a website with this info on it...

I am just looking to find out how many keys, and what action the old synths were.
 
Say, Mini-moog:  How many keys did the original come with and what was the action?
 
Same goes for Mellotron, Arp 2600, Oddysey and others.

Minimoog: 45 keys, lightweighted keys(synth type), F-C
ARP 2600: 49 keys,lightweighted keys(synth type),C-C
Mellotron:  35 keys,heavyweighted keys(not as heavy as a piano,the keys of a mellotron is one of a kind,you play on rubbersConfused),G-F
ARP Odyssey:37 keys,lightweighted keys(synth type),C-CSmile

thanks!  WHat are those letters you put after each one, i.e. c-c- and G-F??? whats do these all mean?

It mean that the lowest notes is a C and the highest notes is a C(on your example) on that specific keyboard or synthesizer.Smile

thanks, were their any other moogs?  I know it sounds funny but i am very un-firmiliar, why is this called the minimoog?  Was there ever just a Moog?
 
I want to replicate these as close as possible over the years, so if i want to replicate a minmoog say..i would buy a 45 key light weighted midi controller and thats my best bet eh?
