This is the latest post on the VdGG/Hammill fanpage http://www.vandergraafgenerator.co.uk/ :
Dodgy DVD Warning! Peter Hammill: "It seems that Classic Rock, rebranded as some other company, are now putting out yet another DVD to rip off the punters. Yes, it's the Charleroi/Belgian TV footage again, this time under the title The Live Broadcasts. I strongly advise you to avoid this product ...and this company." Buyers, beware! |

This company beggars belief, honestly. How many more times do they think they can release the same material?? It was annoying enough to have bought the 'Lighthouse Keepers' set again to have the Belgium gig, but there have been about 3 permutations of this film since that DVD!!

Thank You, Peter Hammill.
There is also a DVD out there called "Inside Van Der Graaf Generator".
If it is like the other inside stuff, it is basically a discussion of VDGG by people probably no more knowledgeable than most prog archive members, with a few video snipetts, at the price of a regular DVD.
I'm not buying

What an awful company they are. They turn up at so many gigs with their substandard video equipment and put out these 2nd rate DVDs that look like they've been edited on a mid-price laptop in one evening. The slap-dash job they did on the recent Bonzo reunion gig shows exactly what I mean.

Without a word to clarify on the recent Mojo-perpetuated rumour. Damn you, PH! |

I don't actually own any of this footage (or any VDGG 'video' material). Is there an 'official' source or a DVD which is considered to be worthwhile?
