YAY! After the success of the first ever UK festival from the progpower franchise, they have brought it back for a second time! Six bands have already been confirmed with one more (A big Swedish band who have been going for 15 years, apprently, any guesses?) to be added!
The line-up thus far is:
Cloudscape- quality melodic prog-metal from Sweden
Dreamscape- awsome prog-metal from Germany, have been compared to early Dream Theater.
Jon Oliva's Pain- solo band from the main-man behind Savatage
Haggard- Medieval orchestral metal (similar to Therion excpet they have an ochestra to go with the band and choir, yet add on Oprhaned Lnad style vox!)
Scar Symmetry- melo- proggressive death metal (a similar vain to Orphaned Land) from Sweden
Kamelot- no real need to expalin these guys but if you haven't eard of tehm they are awsome an awsome power-metal/progpower-metal from the USA (this will be their first ever proformance in the UK)
Tickets go on sale on the 1st of July, the website is www.progpoweruk.com Edited by Space Dimentia - June 10 2006 at 06:32 |

I'll be going for definite. Dreamscape, Jon Oliva's Pain and Kamelot are the bands i'm most looking forward to.
I thought the last band would be Pain of Salvation but apparently they aren't Swedish. Jon made a mistake. Some say they're Finnish, nothing comes to mind.

Opeth perhaps? They're Swedish (for the most part) and have been around 15 years
