From Jakko's website:
Jakko is joined by a formidable array
of guest contributors to this album. Reading like a who’s who of
the best and most innovative musicians from the UK music scene of the
last 30 years they include drummer Gavin Harrison (Porcupine Tree), acoustic
bassist Danny Thompson (Pentangle, John Martyn, Richard Thompson), sax and flute from Mel
Collins (Circus, Camel, King Crimson, Roger Waters) electric bass from Mark King (Level
42) piano & keyboards from Dave Stewart (Egg, Hatfield & The North, UK),
drummer Ian Wallace (King Crimson, Bob Dylan, Crimson Jazz Trio), Soft Machine bassist, Hugh
Hopper, ex-Egg drummer, Clive Brooks and guitarist Robert Fripp (King
Crimson). Plus many others.
As well as contributions on two tunes
from Robert Fripp, former Crimson lyricist Peter Sinfield has written
a new lyric for Jakko's Crimson cover of 'Pictures of a City.' Now retitled
''Pictures of an Indian City' it features an Asian re-working of the song..
I am planning to have Jakko join me for the Alt 2 Show soon (via
www.LCR1350.co.uk). to talk about the album and his wide influences.
