But seriously, for me it must be Pain of Salvation. Just listen to
12:5.... That IS emotion. I bet in a couple of years dictionaries will
just refer to emotion like:
Emotion - State of mind, also see "12:5" by Pain of Salvation.

It seems as though I bring up this disc at least once a day, but I have to go with Marillion's Brave. To me, that disc is nothing but pure emotion and the band has created this darkness; however, through the darkness is always a hint of light. It's without a doubt the most powerful disc I've ever heard.

OK, I see you meant band...not disc. I'd probably have to go with Rush because that was the first band that really turned my head because of their talent. I was always a KISS fan as a kid, but Rush showed me that talent is much more important than getting up there and acting like a buffoon.

I agree that Marillion are very emotive and would mark Script For a Jesters Tear or Misplaced Childhood as their most emotive album However i think IQ's Subterranea is the most emotive album i have ever heard from a prog band. Amazing. Oooh and of course Barclay James Harvest's Octoberon are up there with the most emotive prog albums i have ever heard.

Early Marillion (songs like Forgotten Sons), early Barclay James harvest (songs like Suicide), the first two albums by Triana, From Within by Anekdoten, Alturas De Macchu Picchu by Los Jaivas, all prog with emotion for me.

The Wall by Pink Floyd has to be one of the few albums that actually gets me emotionally --- I can identify with the main character (sort of)

I have to agree with Fish era Marillion. All those laments about lost loves just can't be ignoreed.
