I guess it's me being a d!ck, but why oh why when I position my cursor to put in a hyperlink, OR when I go to add an emoticon, does it end up on the next line or somewhere completely different in the message field. I miss the good old days when these things could be pasted/positioned wherever you chose..! Now I have to edit and reposition things.

Also, why is it sometimes when you go to add a URL link in your post, you just get the HTML <URL> type thingee appearing in your message, and sometimes a box prompting you to name the link, then add the URL appears. There doesn't appear to be any pattern to it.

one of the great mysteries of the universe!

sometimes I access the forum via the mac in the office, and sometimes via my lap-top pc.......... the forum works differnetly on each.............and is even a different colour!!!!

Mysterious stuff only those initiated into the total 'puter nerdness gang would understand I think!

I'm not convinced it's a bug. It may be something I have set up wrong. No one else - to my knowledge - has reported this particular problem.

Why, also when you reply with quote, the post you're quoting SOMETIMES turns into a load of HTML. ??

Yes, especially if there are enlarged emoticons in there. They always turn into HTML bushes.
BTW, how do you do them ?

Now it seems you can only stay logged on for a certain length of time. I just wrote a lengthy review of the Genesis convention, went to post it and lost it as I'd been logged out whilst writing!!

I'll have to do it in Word and paste it in, that is if the new set up allows that.

Apparently if you stay logged in but actionless the system will log you out, after a certain time. This does not happen if you are "in action" through the forums.
