Topic: Best King Crimson Improv Posted: December 02 2004 at 00:12 |
From all the Crison live recordings what is your favourite improv and they did many live improvs. Choose from USA, The Great Deciever, Cirkus, the Night Watch and Epitaph. My favourite improv is Ausbury Park from USA just prior to their first disbanment in 1974.

What a cool improv eh! Can't believe Fripp disbanded Crimson after this one.

From that list, Asbury Park. I also think that the version of Fracture on the remastered USA is one of their all time great performances.

Trio is definitely up there. Don`t you think, though, anything
they ever played live was sort of an improv. I`ve seen them live 4 or 5
times and have lot`s of live stuff on vinyl, tape and CD and have
never heard them play anything the same way.
Journey to The Center of the Cosmos is another one of my faves.
