I've got nothing against it- but as I do most of my playing while seated, it wouldn't be the right axe for me

It may have been hijacked by the metalheadz in the late 1970s - I associate it with Michael Schenker (Scorpions) and Budgie, but if it's good enough for Our Jimi who art in heaven, Hendrix be thy name, then it's the Anti-Prog alright!

My treasured bass is a Fender Katana, which is like a flying V, but with a "wing" cut off. Impossible to play sitting down - but perfect for posturing while playing live - especially when doing those Metallica, Slayer or Sacred Reich covers...

I'm completely neutral about flying Vs. I wouldn't spend money on one, but that's just me, I guess.

Keep the V. Like Mr. Lee, ya gotta be able to play it sitting down and the V isn't made for that.

Quite agree on Mr S

Wishbone Ash use 'em I believe. Probably the only example of a prog band wielding one in anger.

My feelings exactly

These guitars look cool, but they would be a pain to play sitting down.
