I've been honored to have a chance to hear a full song of VICARIOUS from Tool's 10,000 Days album and even though its not out i must say this song freakin rocks. seems like they are getting better with each album as this song sound so progressive and dark and in a good way not to mention how well Carey and Chacellor do so well with the progginess and Adam Jones i dunno he really impressed me in this song.  So anybody had a chance to hear this song and the others as well.  like i said its not out yet but just a food for thought kind of thing

The new Tool song is excellent. I can't wait for the album. Hopefully the media wont manhandle "Vicarious" to death like they did with "Schism" or "AEnima". What am I talking about of course they will.

I can care less what the media does with it. In fact, if it's a good song, it's great if the media plays it a lot. Lets have people exposed to some great music. Why not?

The music is still the same whether or not it's played on the radio. Floyd is a prime example. Listening to the "Dark Side" songs that are on the radio just isn't the same as hearing the album from beginning to end.
One likes to believe
In the freedom of music
But glittering prizes
And endless Compromises
Shatter the illusion
Of integrity

I just get to the point where I can't listen to certain things anymore because they are so heavily circulated in the media. I didn't say anything about them being "bad songs", I simply said they'll get played out.

Look out Fanboys on the loose  , it "Freakin rocks" hey ?  leave it to a tool fan not to be able to articulate himself, somehow I don`t think this CD is going to appeal to any prog fan with a degree of intellect. Wink

I would rather be unable to articulate myself than being an impolite personWink who goes around insulting other members - with a post count of 5.
