I see a thread about this band in literally every music forum I go to. IMO they're over hyped and  other than their speed and Herman "Shred" Li (who is also over hyped IMO) there's nothing special about them. And to me they are absolutely not prog metal. Their first three albums are all speed besides a few ballads. I still like this band though.

Amazing band, but not prog.

In fact, I hate to get all nit-picky... but I hate the whole "progressive influences" thing. I can't explain though...

Judging by the songs I've heard, this is typically cheesy power metal, not at all prog of any kind. I'd even take 'hair metal' bands over most 'power metal' ones...
