Hello to all,

I am a guitarist/songwriter actively working for fun on my first prog concept album in my free time, but I have been so far unable to find a vocalist anywhere and I am getting desparate. I have the songs, lyrics, and vocal line written, and I just need someone to sit down and record vocals for me.

Here is a quick sample:

Anyway, my favorite vocalist is Daniel Gildenlow from Pain of Salvation (if you aren't familiar with these guys, go to their progarchives page and check them out). I am looking for a more modern, raspy, lower-register type of singing. Hell, if you can do a good Nickelback or Disturbed impersonation with your voice, that'd be great. Of course, I am pretty desperate and will settle for just about any kind of voice really.

I have 2 songs that I'd like done for now. If you think you can help me, please drop me a line at:

[email protected]

Obviously, you'll be given credit where it's due, and hopefully have fun because that's what making music is all about ;) Oh, and if you have samples of your voice, that'd be great, too.

Thanks for looking,

--Nik

Hey man, that was pretty good stuff.

I'm a little tierd now, but I'll send you an email later with some of my vocal work.

I'm not great, but im alright, especailly in the lower register like you like

I can strangle a canary in a tin can and it would be really original, but that wouldn't save it from sounding like utter sh*t.

Thanks for your replies.

As long as you don't sound like William Hung, there should be no issues; Oh, and location isn't an issue, as long as you don't have a noticable accent when you sing in English--that's the main reason I don't sing on my own stuff.

Anyway, yesterday I finished a new tune and I'd love to have someone do vocals for me... ?

Well, I finished a new song that's also awaiting vocals-it's called "The End"

It automatically plays when you click here:

Sounds a bit repetitive right now since it doesn't have vocals, but it sounds cool, I think. That's the myspace for this project. And yes, I know there's a guy credited as vocals on there, but rest assured we are parting ways with him so obviously, if you record vocals for me, you'll get credited where you deserve ;)

So again, if you want to give this song a shot, toss me a line at [email protected]
