We always play music in our reception and cantene area in the office, which of course is a good thing. Even better is that I have great cred. with the receptionists who always ask me to burn some CDs for them to play in the reception. The corporate CDs they get are mainstream-soul or elevator music (no, not Eno), so incredibly boring after a while.

Now my CDs are played to a great extent, and of course I have to stay within certain frames in order not to ruin in for me completely (i.e no Opeth or Mars Volta :-).

Anyway, to conlude I think our office is one of the few where you will hear prog on a regular basis. My mixes are a blend of classical rock and some lighter prog, but if you visit one day, don't be surprised when you hear Porcupine Tree, Spock's Beard, Neal Morse, Ayreon etc. flow from the speakers.

There is a future after all

Sounds great, I wish we could have that in my office. Shame you can't play Mars Volta though!

Keep up the good work, Christian!

You wont hear any prog around my workplace. Just the radio, which plays a selection of sh!t music on what seems to be a loop. There is some awful Kelly Clarson song which seems to be played once every 40 minutes or so, and it makes me feel ill it's so bad!

Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!

Sounds great. In my workplace, its either total silence or the annoying radio. So when I can I put on music and hear it on small headphones.

You might get away with some Enchant
If it's worth playing, it's worth playing loud!

Wow, that's a great accomplishment, but maybe work a few prog classics from the golden age of prog in there as well, you know, one of those bands with the guy with the high voice singing about the sunrise and stuff like that, can't think of any specific one off hand...
