Is it me or does the beginning of Man-Erg sound like Whiter Shade of Pale?

Well, those organ textures were very usual for some bands. Yet, it is clear tha PH was very much into well constructed organ harmonies, under the heavy influence of baroque and romanticism, ehile VdGG was more into Gothic stuff and Stravinkian somber splendour. The way I see it, the organ and piano intro of 'Man-Erg' is just one of those few moments of complete serenity in VdGG's repertoire.

An interesting point, indeed. Regards.
