Hey,

I was searching through websites last night, and came across the official GH website. I also found the page with the free mp3s, and thought to myself, "Why not download them all, and burn them to a disc, to see if I like them"? So I did, and I took the cdr with me to school today.

Well, needless to say, I was blown away. This band is so good, I can't help wondering to myself, "Why haven't I checked out their stuff before?" Anyway, my question to you is what are the best albums to start off with from this band? I understand that they have quite a few, but which ones would work best for a GH newbie?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Take care,

Joshua

Probably LEX REX. I have Chronometree, which would be my first suggestion if it weren't for the horrendous vocals. The guy sings as though Jim Garten were ripping his fingernails out with a pair of acid soaked pliers. False emotive caterwauling. Musically, wonderful.

If you liked what you heard, but like a little more POWER, give SYZYGY "The Alegory of Light" try.

Of the three albums I've got I would rank them in the following order:

1 Shadowlands

2 Chronometree

3 Lex Rex

The fake sounding English narrative on Lex Rex really irritates me

Shadowlands is more broader sounding to me than Chronometree but both of those are good to be honest.
