OUT OF 10 WHAT DO YOU THINK OF ATOM HEART MOTHER BY PINK FLOYD?

I'M GOING TO GO WITH 9/10 BECAUSE 2 TRACKS FOR ME BRING IT DOWN A BIT WHICH ARE IF AND SUMMER '68 BY 0.5 AS THEY ARE'NT THAT BAD.

6/10 (or 3/5)

A good album, but highly flawed. Very slow and uneven, but it contains some really good moments too. Notably the title track.

'Summer 68' is the best song on that record!!!!!! 'If' is kind of boring though. Altogether though it's a good album. I'll give it 7

AHM was a notable step by the Floyds to develop another kind of sound, distinct of moments like Careful with..  or A saucerful of secrets. Both the main piece and the second side of the LP have their flaws, but overall they are contrabalanced for a lot of good moments.

For example: the introduction of AHM suite till the end of the organ move is absolutely marvelous.

Side 2 is better than one, besides its less considered. "If" isn't as ingenous because it anticipates the thematic of DSOTM; Summer 68 is the high point of the album, together with Fat Old Sun. I don't care about its stupid lyrics, but if you have the oportunity of hearing this piece alive in RoIOs like AHM goes on the road you'll change your opinion about this song (if it is negative, of course). And I like the final movement of Alan's Psychedelic breakfast. So, 7,5 - 8/10.

2/5 (so I vote 4/10)

AHM is an okay song, seems way too long but some parts are nice.  If and Fat Old Sun are boring songs (especially If!!).   Summer '68 is by far my favorite song on the album, and one of my favorites by PF.  Alan's Psychadelic Breakfast is rubbish.

My favorite album along with Meddle.  I'm also very partial to this album, one of my first purchases ever.  So I give it a 10 out of 10.

The album is almost perfect, except for some dull moments in 'Alan's'... so I rated 9.5/10, which in fact is 4.75 meaning 5 for the PA (in fact I gave it 5* in my review).

First ten minutes are a masterpiece but the first side runs out of ideas

Summer of 68 is excellent but the rest of the second side is mixed

Overall I recommend obtaining because of the good parts

But it is unlikely to leave you fully satisfied 7 1/2 out of 10

How wonderful to be so profound

7 out of 10 for me because it could have been far better.  it is still fun to listen to i think and is over all pretty good.  i absolutly love the atom heart mother suite.  if and summer 68 are good as well.  fat old sun isnt in the same league as the other two.  Alans psycadellic breakfast can be tedious.  This is mainly when you have to listen to a guy stuff his face with fried eggs and cerial and marmalade.  I think that though that the musical sections of that song are very nice and pleasant to listen to.  Not my favourite floyd album but i think it is way better then ummagumma which i find in some parts unlistonable (particularly several small mammels ect ect and the grand vizier's party)  I am just stating my opinion.
true as a lobster in a pteredaktyl's underpants.
