Both are considered to be their creators "Grand Opus", and are extremely important and influential to the prog genre... Which is the best and why? |

check this poll right now ¡¡¡. The past poll had an absurd output. something like 100 vs 30 in favor of YES. That´s ridiculous. So far, Supper´s is kicking Close´s butt. Lets see how it goes before YES´s fans start manipulating the poll. The last poll was statistically ridiculous. Statistics don´t work that way. That poll was once in favor of Supper´s for at least 10 points. Edited by eduardossc |

Supper's Ready is really very good. Close To The Edge is just pretentious. |

If Close to the Edge is pretentious, then surely Suppers Ready is too?

Nope! Genesis weren't pretending they could make good music to last more than 20 minutes, because they could do it! Yes were only pretending they could make good music to last 20 mins, when in fact they couln't even make good music for 18 minutes! Tales of Topographic Oceans is so pretentious it's funny! This shouldn't even be a question... Yes are way more innovative and musical then Genesis, and those two songs demonstrate that clearly

I LOVE both songs... went with Genesis because there's much more going on in that song.

As a song and concept I stay with Suppers Ready As instrumental masterpiece, I stay with Close top the Edge. So I can't choose. Iván |

It really is a difficult choice as they are two of my favourite songs but 'Close To The Edge' is the song that got me into prog so i'll vote for sentimantal reasons! |

Seems like you're serious too! The only thing funny is your opinion! Funny in a strange way that is! |
