SAD NEW FOR PROG ROCK.
Jorge Antún, one of the keyboardists of legendary Argentinean prog band PABLO "EL ENTERRADOR" died last week from a brief, terminal disease. He was 52 years old. A self-taught musician, his taste for electric keyboards (especially synthesizers and electric organs) was influenced by synth pioneers such as Walter Carlos. As shy as he was, his talent allowed him to eventually become one of the founding members of the band PABLO "EL ENTERRADOR". The textures and orchestrations he delivered on his keyboards served as a perfect complement for his partner in keys Omar López: the band's eponymous album, released i n1983, serves as the perfect example of his talent as a writer and performer.
Right before his passing, PABLO, reunited in the mid 90s after a 10-year hiatus, had completed the recording sessions for their next release, which hopefully will be released soon.
Farewell, Jorge -- ¡ gracias por la música !
