I did a double take when I saw that she has released a new album of Reggae music - all covers of course. Her session musicians include the great Sly and Robbie. The album is called "Throw Down Your Arms". Has anyone heard the album and if so, what do you think of it? Heres a small snippet to look at: http://www.realgroovy.co.nz/music/id/3124359 I thought she had retired ....

I heard her cover of Marcus Garvey ... decent and reverent, but there's no way she can match the impact of the original ... she's certainly picked some fiery tracks, and she's certainly fiery, but I'm not going to go out of my way to get it ... |

"Death to Utopia! Death to faith! Death to love! Death to hope?" thunders the 20th century. "Surrender, you pathetic dreamer.”
"No" replies the unhumbled optimist "You are only the present." |
