Topic: Help me poll Posted: November 03 2005 at 16:15 |
I will soon be trading in Tool's Aneima(Was good but its too boring now),Orphaned Land's Mabool( Pretty good really but progmetal just doesnt move me any more), Higdons City Scape(Im just not fond of modern composers anymore), Spocks Beard The Light(A bit to cheezy but not too bad), and Winds Reflection of the 1 and Imaginary direction of time(Very good and original for prog metal but like I said, prog metal has lost its spark long ago) to FYE for store credit.
Which one of the above mentioned albums do you think I should obtain. I know that Lizard is good but I also would like to get to know Marillion a bit more. Please if you have any other suggestions let me know, I would truly apprieciate it, I am open to anything but progmetal. Please I dont mean to offend prog metal fans, as a matter of fact I used to be one until last year when I discovered bands like Anglagard, Gentle Giant, Et Cetera, King Crimson, Yes, and so on.
Please help me!!!!

"Lizard" is the weakest KC album, pick "Larks' Tongues in Aspic" instead.

I would try Marillion's debut.
And you are crazy for trading in Mabool and Aenima.

out of those...Lizard. Really good album, as well as Red, In the court, Larks' Tongues and I'm pretty sure you've heard them but just incase, Anekdoten and Van der Graaf Generator

If you liked In The Court of The Crimson King and In The Wake Of Poseidon, then you'll like Lizard too!

I said Lizard, because I think, in opposite with most of prog fans on
here, it's one of the best KC album: but if you like Red or Lark's
tongue in aspic I doubt you'll like it. In this case Script for a
Jester's tear -if you are a Selling England fan- will be perfect for
you.

You should sell these albums on Ebay (if you feel you must sell them - I never would do that). You'll get much more money that way - I estimate about $10 per album.

I'll let my signature give you a hint.....on the other hand maybe I won't because you probably don't know where Chelsea Monday comes from if you don't have the album.

Thank you all for your suggestions. Since I already own A larks Tonge in Aspic, Red, and most KC albums, and am unfamilier with Marillion, I decided to go with KC's Lizard.
What an EXCELLENT album, I have no regrets, best trade I have ever made!!!
BTW, Drew shoud be dragged out, beaten, drowned, hanged, shot, and sodomised by a man named bubba for the GD american Idiot suggestion.
Once agian, thank you all.
