Topic: Best prog metal vocals [final version] Posted: October 30 2005 at 12:39 |
So, these are my fav vocals in prog metal... I had polls bout this already but one was not correct & the 2nd got destroyed by some sort of virus
So here is the final version! Vote for Your fav one!
IMO Daniel Gildenlow & Mike Baker are the best of the best... & Mike gets my vote just because Daniel has a fanatic following!

Very nice ... you certainly improved the options very much. Of course that won't stop people from complaining about their favorite vocalist missing.
My choice: Gildenlow.

After seeing Russel Allen live and being completely blown away, my vote goes to him. I love a lot of the guys up there, though.
EDIT: I probably would have voted for Devon Graves if his name had been
listed as Buddy Lackey, but I don't like him as much in DST.

Both versions are correct!
Akerfeldt is a more "American" version of that other, cuz people can't type that strange letter

^ Jorn Lande is not a prog metal singer. Don't worry Ed, it wasn't your mistake.

^yes ... I tried to have them removed, but unfortunately there were already reviews. Love the band, but they're not prog. I guess they're ok in prog related though.

I don't know what to vote for... it's too difficult!!!
Daniel Gildenlow - he is the most varied singer i know
James Labrie - if it was 1992-1995 i woul probably vote for him, because he was the best
Russell Allen - great voice, also varied
Ray Alder - great singe, imo one of the best
Mikael Akerfeldt - the best growler in the world!! his clean vocals are so beautiful and exciting
OOOHHHH CAN'T DECIDE!!!
