Konts is probably GG's greatest song from its Greatest album.
I give it 5 stars.

All tracks on Octopus are 5 star tracks (minus "Dog's Life" - which is a 4-star), IMO

Knots...is not a perfect song. It's almost perfect. If it was shorter, then it was perfect. There is a part which hangs too long ("It hurts him to think that she is", etc). Sorry...but the song definitely swings...
But "The boys in the band" is also not perfect, there are parts in which the drums are not tight. That really is a pity, because it's such a clever song!!

Great song worth every one star out of five! On Reflection slightly better though!

3 stars. An interesting piece, but not very striking. Alucard is their best ever IMO.

Knots is a most truly amazing tune. This song, more than any other GG song has influenced many bands to make their own "Knots like" song.

This song is embarrasing, painful, and disturbing to listen to.
It is probably the worst song Gentle Giant ever did.
I don't understand it.
The moment I spin the disc and hear that tune, I beg for mercy or just skip it.

I've highlighted the most significant part of that post.
Anyway, no need to say how I voted on this poll.

Good idea.
I was all exited the first time I was going to listen to this song. Then I said to myself I need to hear it again, but no... it is definitely not my favorite from Octopus. Perhaps my expectations were too high.

Yes, I like Knots, but it's certainly not one of my favourite Gentle Giant tracks, not even one of my favourite Octopus tracks.

"Knots" is not my favourite on Octobus by any means, but it is one of those songs that are able to give an album a lot of character. It is song number four out of eight and thus the hard, unbreakable core of the record in a way.
No half stars in offer, and I can't give it only three, so I will opt for four stars then -if only for the creativity to come up with something like that in the first place.
