Years ago, someone I was in a band with showed me an underground progressive rock band. They were probably from the 2010's and they were very unheard of (and still are). Meanwhile, the song I was given was amazing. It was very energetic with very catchy and unique guitar riffs and drumming. It was in a minor key, so it sounded kind of dark, but it was fast paced and active, so it didn't really sound boring or slow or depressing.

I remember the album cover (or EP cover) was a kraken like creature or an octopus fighting a guitarist. Anyone know what band this is and the song? I haven't had any luck searching the internet.

It looks like a programmer vomited code all over your post.

I don't know what was going on there, but I removed all the code (mostly)< defer="" ="https://static.cloudflareinsights.com/beacon.min.js/vcd15cbe7772f49c399c6a5babf22c1241717689176015" integrity="sha512-ZpsOmlRQV6y907TI0dKBHq9Md29nnaEIPlkf84rnaERnq6zvWvPUqr2ft8M1aS28on72PdrCzSjY4U6VaAw1EQ==" -cf-beacon=""rayId":"92f6bb06bb397cea","Timing":"name":"cfExtPri":true,"cfL4":true,"cfSpeedBrain":true,"cfCacheStatus":true,"version":"2025.3.0","token":"717409392a644498b4dbcbfbeafd4181"" crossorigin="anonymous">

Ghede Chokra's Shark Move is the first thing that comes to my mind:

But that's probably now what you're looking for, since the album above is from 1972.

Another one that more/less fits the description is The Light in the Ocean's (*inhales*) The Pseudo-Scientific Study of Oceanic Neo-Cryptid Zoology.
