During the last couple of months (end of 2024) I've been improving AP as a tool to keep track of new releases I'm listening to. Maybe some of you are already using it for that purpose as well? Or if not, would you like to give it a try?

It is very simple:
  • You create an account at https://awesomeprog.com.
  • Whenever you come across a really good new release, you go to AP, look it up and select a status and familiarity (for example, you could mark it as a release you're exploring and that you've listened to it for the first time).
  • You can then browse all the releases you listened to at any time.
  • As an added benefit, when the next AOTY poll comes up, you'll already have all your favorite releases there for you to select without any need to look them up again.
What do you think? Have a look at the (growing) list of 2025 releases. The proper time to start tracking them is now, and the 2025 poll already contains three really awesome releases (IMHO):

I certainly will use this thanks. Currently I've only listened to 2 new studio albums. For the sake of the poll I always avoid live albums so I won't be including Steve Hackett or Riverside recent releases although I have heard them and they are very good. So my list as it stands (both are about 7.5/10 for me)

1album cover
2album cover
