Isn't good progressive rock music emerging more effortlessly from darker themes? Doesn't it seem to be more challenging to create prog stuff from a place of positivity, optimism, and brightness? This is actually why I got the idea for this thread that should display sunny, upbeat progressive rock.
I would like to commence this discussion with these two tracks from the 2022 album by Norwegian band Knekklectric, which is rather convivial, bright, and sunny, especially when compared to most of their compatriots.

Knekklectric – Angra pε, from "Alt Blir Verre"

Knekklectric – 1992, from "Alt Blir Verre"

Plenty of the early british proto prog feel sunny, joyous, full of life and optimism to me:

I have no idea what its about but it is one of the "happiest" and most carefree sounding songs I know of.

I could tell what would be very sunny Prog to me, but I guess, I better not. Big smile
quality over quantity, and all kind of PopcoRn almost beyond

Hmm, I immediately think all of 70s Yes or any of the early 2000s Flower Kings/Spock's Beard Smile

Moon Safari - Himlabacken Vol 2

also I like King Gizzards latest album . It's a fun thing. I always imagine them playing their music on a bright sunny day with a barbie going on in the background!

Hello, tanned progheads! I've always considered Here Comes the Sun by The Beatles to be an early prog tune. Is there anyone who agrees with that?!?

It is harder to do sunny up-beat music these days. The collective consciousness seems to leaning towards the darker side of things. I blame the media and believe they could turn it around, being they are so influential. But fear and ugliness seem to be big sellers. The whole gangster craze that seems neverending is influencing young listeners. Sort of a jailhouse culture promoted by Hollywood. Also terror and devilish TV shows.  My wife watches rom coms on Hallmark... She says she can't take anymore Witchers, gangsters, apocalypses and Vampires. I don't watch TV much at all.

I love the sunny day ambience of Curved Air's 'Touch of Tequila.' It resonates like a sun-drenched afternoon, inviting listeners to embrace life with a carefree spirit!

Like a sunny day where every path leads to unexpected joy, Land of Who Knows Where by Gringo is such a delightful tune.
