I bought In The Court of The Crimson King the other day on vinyl, and on the side of the album, it says
"In The Court of The Crimson King    An Observation By King Crimson" and I have never seen that before, could anyone help me out?

It's just the complete title of the album: "Itchycock - An Observation by King Crimson". It sez so on my vinyl version as well as in the booklet of my cd copy.

My remastered TCOTCK says it.

and It says "Ghost Reveries: An Observation by Opeth" in the GR booklet. Did they copy KC?

Yup...  Mikael's a HUGE fan of classic prog, he's got hundreds and hundreds of old obscure prog records on vinyl.

His favourite album is Camel's "Moon Madness."

It's not what I would have expected from a dude in Opeth.

But it's well known/obivous he's a prog fan.

That's pretty awesome.
