We're just an Irish Heartbeat away from Sally Oldfield's albums now, and yes, she really IS Irish, despite brothers Mike and Terry being English. 1976: The Chieftains - The Chieftains 6: Bonaparte's Retreat 1976: Clannad - Dulaman - http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_kuuQp9HBo0DzyLUeiEKeUT3X92Be015lg 1976: Dana - Love Songs & Fairytales - http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLdz_kjHdXHbFH2tXGnV8GVHrN6r7S8pSy 1976: Rory Gallagher - Calling Card - http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_nOM9fRm21eo01ymdxCFpvCYvmmeACRJxs 1976: Horslips - The Book of Invasions - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a2MFfAo98KY 1976: Supply Demand & Curve - Supply Demand & Curve - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yiH2w5rtZus 1976: Thin Lizzy - Jailbreak - http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_mKvwFzJx7VRj-a_DyQn9y2iA2Lr8tqKFo

I'm throwing a curveball by voting for Supply Demand & Curve - the only Canterbury Scene band from Ireland.

Another vote for Supply Demand & Curve. I put the pants in the garage, the shirts on the roof, the socks in the refrigerator, the shoes down the chimney, the garden hose in the dresser, the snow shovels in the bathtub, and a bowling ball down the toilet.

Jailbreak has Lizzy's greatest moment imo (although the definitive version is maybe on Live and Dangerous)
Down from the glen came the marching men With their shields and their swords To fight the fight they believed to be right Overthrow the overlords To the towns where there was plenty They brought plunder, swords and flame When they left, the town was empty And children would never play again From their graves I heard the fallen Above the battle cry By that bridge near the border There were many more to die Then onward over the mountain And outward towards the sea They had come to claim the Emerald Without it, they could not leave Edited by richardh - September 29 2023 at 22:51 |

^ Yep very nice, always impressed by the twin guitar thing. Scott Goram and Gary Moore I guess?
