Hello everyone,
I have a new release out on Bandcamp: When Time is but a dim memory . . . by SourceCodeX https://sourcecodex.bandcamp.com/album/when-time-is-but-a-dim-memory
Some of may you know I write and enjoy watching science fiction -- as well as discussing the nature of Time.
Enjoy music that is inspired by both. Each piece is a visual soundtrack to journey to wherever you desire . . .
The album is now available on Amazon, iTunes, Spotify, Pandora and a gazillion other digital outlets.
Promo videos with AI generated imagery of the songs are all available here: https://www.youtube.com/c/JazzRockFusionSynthesizerMusic

Ah, Time! God's gift to Itself: that which enables objectivity . . .
BTW: nice music! I was just looking for some new space ambient/progressive electronic music yesterday! The Universe manifests! |

Hi,
One of the things that I miss the most in a lot of the music played here on PA ... is how much of a hurry 99% of the bands (and the fans!!!!!) are for the drums to show up, or the guitar to twist your ears ... and for once, it was wonderful to be able to flow and not have to worry about "music" and specially ... a "ducking song" ... and this reminded me a lot of the early days of Alpha Centauri and then Zeit (Tangerine Dream) when it was all about the discovery of the sounds and the imagery they created ... and yours is no disgrace ... it is lovely and then some! I would like to see/hear, more of this stuff, although many folks will likely, eventually< say silly things like all you are doing is twisting a filter knob, or slide ... when, in my book, I'm not sure that was exactly the case ... the flow of the material suggests there is a visual that is being "followed", however, what you see and I see is very different. For me it is not "space" ... but the inside of my mind, with things "disappearing, until I can reach the peaceful state where things are pretty much "melted/melded" into nothing, and you now enter the most relaxed state you can find. There isn't a lot of music that does this ... since so much of it is steeped in "ideas". One great example, for me, is Frank Perry's first album with meditations on each side of the album with Tibetan bowls and bells, and it is very intense, however, once one can get past the shock of the intense emotional upheaval, the material comes alive. I was able, finally, to meditate to one piece, but the other still fails me, though I have not tried in 20 years now! And it was then, that I found out, that "meditation" was about "melding/melting" it all into nothing ... so you can relax ... no thinking, no seeing ... just flow of the kind that we are (usually) afraid of ... the nothing state, which many confuse with being dead. There is a huge difference, since when "dead" you would not have any kind of mind to visualize and imagine anything, thus showing how confused and out of logic we really are when it comes to the internal trip ... I like the idea of "space", and it made sense 60 years ago, and it got us thinking about our own universe, but all we really have from it, is more imaginary/idealistic material, and TO ME, the internal thing is NOT about the imaginary/idealistic material at all ... it's something else all told, and often difficult to describe since it is in a different "language" and "understanding" that we can not decipher very well. Lovely stuff ... really well done ... and specially nice that no one here said it was some new age stuff ... this is (in my book) so far away from that plastic world ... and this, so far, appears real to me.

Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!
