When i hear Billy Curry, i think of Eddie Jobson and vica versa, the both have a ferocity and bravada when playing. Both havet charectaristik keyboardist chops, both got signature elements that distinguish them.
I love both. |

No one should underestimate Currie , as he is also a schooled musician who has some incredible chops on both instruments. I have always considered Ultravox (with either Foxx or Ure) as a "progressive" band, with worthy music over a long career. Albums like Systems of Romance, Vienna and Rage in Eden are bona fide absolute classics.

Both.
Currie's recorded some excellent solo albums over the past decades.

Had a quick read up on Currie, note that he plays Violin as well so has quite a strong connection to Jobson.
Also fascinated to learn that he developed the song Fade To Grey while playing in the Gary Numan band and then properly recorded in it Visage with Ure. I love that track to death. Have to vote for Jobson though, been listening a lot to UK recently especially the 3 peice version with Bozzio. Just a phenomemal player and one of the few that could challenge Emerson and Wakeman, playing with Roxy Music and Frank Zappa before he had even turned 20. Remarkable!

Jobson, although I'm a huge fan of Billy's Transportation album.
