I know they are both considered far from career highlights, but I've "always" loved The Party's Over and A Broken Frame. I'm gonna go for the latter album.

If either The Cure - Pornography or Modern English - After the Snow were included they would have been strong contenders.
+ Lora Logic Pedigree Charm & Holger Czukay, Jah Wobble & Jaki Liebezeit - Full Circle too, obviously.

Hmm, I think I only listened to the albums of Duran Duran, Thomas Dolby, Gary Numan and Yazoo in full, way back when. Listened very recently to Upstairs at Eric's again and I'll give that my vote (after some snippets of the other albums...).

The razamataz is a pain in the bum

Flock of Seagulls - Wishing I had a photograph of Mike Score, or something to remind me of the New Romantic era of 1982.... How about a video instead, featuring the most memorable hairstyle of 1982, or any other year, come to think of it. Tongue

Produced by Mike Howlett of Gong, by the way.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they're considered new wave. And they did indeed have a great debut album. I think I bought every album by them up through Ink and then lost track of them. Apparently they're still together.

They released an album last year, quite good if you ask me. Smile

XTC - English Settlement

The #1 New Wave album for 1982 on RYM, but not listed here.
