DVR (Digital Video Recorder)... on Comcast anyway. I imagine TiVo is very similar.

I haven't seen a commercial in years. And it's nice if I'm watch the basketball game. If it's a blowout, I can fast-forward until its a close game. It also seems many great things are on when I sleep. The main benefit is simply placing automatic recordings on my favorite directors, actors, people, and they do the rest.

The DVD player, which was first marketed by Sony in the USA in April 1997, four years after the birth of the Internet.

Streaming. Saved me a lot of money compared to my cable bill. Also nice to listen to full albums/songs of music unknown to me.

I have a custom built Classic with 365GB. My old 160GB version was ok but died and I decided to upscale.

Great choices... YouTube definitely saved me millions of dollars!

And e-books are great for me.. I love using search keywords, especially if it's a biography I'm not too interested. It's also nice to be able to watch it on a big screen, where I can increase the text size. I also don't get the neck/shoulder pains from reading a physical book.

Well "the internet" has technically been around since the 1960s, but it didn't really become a household... thing... until around 1992-ish when the World Wide Web (on which the site is hosted) was released to ordinary consumers, and didn't pick up pace until Netscape - at least this is my knowledge of the matter. This all predates my... uh birth.

So what year are we going with for "the internet."

The first result I get when googling is:

"January 1, 1983 is considered the official birthday of the Internet. Prior to this, the various computer networks did not have a standard way to communicate with each other. A new communications protocol was established called Transfer Control Protocol/Internetwork Protocol (TCP/IP)."

Which was a decade or so after I was cloned, but the technology had not yet been perfected and so my cloning was only a partial success.

So 1983? damn the CD came out in 1982.

The World Wide Web, then, of course!

I can't tell if this is a meme or people are serious. I don't f**king get the big deal. I'll stick to normal toasters, thank you. Although, I think I'm more annoyed at the name than anything else - air fryers don't actually fry food - it's a glorified toaster with a fan in it. Why is it called an air fryer, like why?

I'm going to be honest, my favorite invention would have to be Spotify, I don't know if that counts but I have discovered so much music there and I definitely use it a ton, last year I was in the top 1%, of spotify users in terms of hours listened.

It's just another word for convection oven. The frying aspect is just a marketing ploy...as in frying without grease.
