Hi to all, we (Siyah Siyah) just released our 2nd song on all digital platforms. This song is a mixture of progressive elements and arabesque music which very common in middle east countries. We hope you like it.
I will try to translate the lyrics if anybody interested. There are metaphors in the lyrics which can sound weird when translating. I will do my best. --- Isn't it so strange? Even god didn't give me the cure for this pain, but you said you will... But now you turned into a lie just this world, darling. I buried my love both into dark clouds and the light. my grave opens its arms widely and calling me "come to me." now I'm inside of that grave alive and asking When will my heart see the daylight? When will those trees bloom flowers? I'm writing all my sorrow on yellow leaves of those trees with a pencil and a hope Maybe you can see it, understand it but I feel you won't I will continue to do what I can do as I miss you. --- Youtube: Apple Music: Spotify: |

Again great stuff. Congrats!
The vocals from the lower register reminded me of Müslüm Gürses' a bit, and and the parts from the mid and higher registers are a little remniscient of those of Cengiz Kurtoğlu's. Very well done! The songwriting and instrumentation are also exhilarating. Pure "arabesk" would/could cause opposite feelings to that, yet you're doing prog, thankfully. As for the lyrics... Well, nice. They perfectly convey the Turkish arabesque mood. I'm very grateful that I've discovered your music here, yet perhaps the admins can move this post to your first/original thread, IDK. Thank you so much. We all love muslum gurses and cengiz Kurtoğlu. I had chance to work with both of them in the past in some projects. Of course those projects were not progressive, they were the original arabesque music.:)

^ Cool! I hope you get the recognition, love and support that you deserve with your exquisite music. It is as clear as daylight that you all are proficient and accomplished musicians, but your "new" project gotta be like your new baby and all the reactions you're gonna get should feel like "fresh".

As you mentioned above this is like a new baby and I get very excited when have good reactions. I have produced more 120 albums, thousands of songs for celebrities, singers, tv shows, millions of views etc. I mostly even don't share those works. But this project, this band is very important for me. I put my heart on this.

^ To be honest, I had heard your name, but this was the first time that I'm aware of listening one of your works. I'm more into progressive metal. I'm 100% sure that I've listened to at least tens of things that you participated in without knowing that you're a part of those.
However, it is never too late, huh? And it feels so good that this is an extra special project for you and this means that I wasn't too late. Kind regards from Davutlar/Kuşadası. (I'm in izmir only in winters.) |

Archisorcerus just made me aware that I'd missed this piece. Again, will be interested to hear what else you produce, as the music is recorded and released.

Better than Altin Gün! But, they are Dutch mostly right? Like you. You Europeans are always like this. Ever praising your own stuff, and belittling us Turks. Just kidding! I already thanked you for introducing me to Altin Gün's music, as you might remember. Both the bands deserve praise, IMO. Very different, yet equally good. At least, in my opinion. Or from my perspective. Did I say perspective? Oh, that was another discussion. Edited by Archisorcerus - April 08 2023 at 13:47 |

^ Hehe, yes I remember you liked Altin Gün. It seems they have a new album out, but I haven't listened to it yet... (and I think they're mostly Dutch Turks, if that makes a difference - I hope not, actually). But Siyah Siyah are much more in the prog realm, based on this track, than Altin Gün are, and here too it is that fusion of "western" rock and "Arabic" influences that I appreciate. Curious to discover more (I also listened to the Haydar Haydar track, but I slightly prefer this current song). |

Your hopes are in vain... But you're so vainglorious, right? Of course I was only kidding pal. It makes zero difference. Decent people are decent people, regardless of their race, ethnic origin, nationality whatsoever. I more than hope that you think that way too. I'm sure of that. Yeah, I agree with your take. Altin Gün's sound is quite "different", yet as you said, Siyah Siyah have proggier dynamics. Cool that you've informed me that their new album is out. I'll check it out. Thanks. |

^^ I know you were joking; I know you a little by now. And we're on the same page. I'm also curious to hear Altin Gün's new album, as I am to hear more from Siyah Siyah...
