Cry I'm still reeling from the death of Vangelis, and now this. 

Massimo was one of my earliest guitar heroes. Goblin has remained one of my favorite bands for the last four decades...

Oh, thank you for posting this. This is a very sad bit of news.

It was something of a miracle that we got to see Goblin (with Massimo) down here in Melbourne, Australia not once, but twice. I was also fortunate enough to have him and the band sign my `Roller', `Cherry Five' and `Il Reale Impero Britannico' LP's, which I will cherish forever.

R.I.P, Massimo, and thank you for the memories and wonderful music.

I also can't think of a single darker Italian band that isn't influenced by Goblin in some way
