Here i made an album ranking of Savatage's albums from worst to first. This list will probably be seen as controversial by some, considering there are 2 era's to Savatage. The classic heavy metal era which came first, then the progressive metal era, which is the era i love of theirs and got to know them as. Ive tried to be as fair as i can with the ranking.

I know that i messed up on the release dates of Power of the Night and Edge of Thorns, which is rather embarrassing, i dont know what went wrong there.

just incase i dont get it right >>>> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYwk-G4pjuw

This site is for prog and prog-related, not heavy metal.

What's next, The Sex Pistols?

Savatage has created several progressive metal albums, so I don't see your point here. Also why mention SexPistols?

I was gonna say, ummm Savatage were progressive metal from their album Gutter Ballet onwards.   Your even find a page on them on progressive archives.

Savatage, one of the best prog-metal bands from all time!!!!

My personal ranking is as follows (worst to best):

1. Fight for the Rock
2. Power of the Night
3. Sirens
4. Dungeons are Calling
5. Hall of the Mountain King
6. Handful of Rain
7. Gutter Ballet
8. Edge of Thorns
9. Poets and Madmen
10. Dead Winter Dead
11. Streets - A Rock Opera
12. The Wake of Magellan

Still the orchestra plays!!!

Your list isnt too far off mine, but from watching other Savatage album rankings on youtube, it seems quite a mixed baggage.   Your certainly more of a fan of their progressive works than their classic metal stuff.   I rather like traditional metal, which is why i put Hall of the Mountain King high on my list.   I think me buying Wake of Megallan on vinyl 15 months ago made me listen to it more, and that made me realise just how good that album is.
