In my mind, LTE hasnt done enough to compare to DT. I tihnk that  LTE has some very strong qualities, but if its improvsation that they want, the could do better than  rudess. I think that Derrek Sherrininan would be perfect for them. It would add a classier and more laid-back, less DT sound. How do you improve like Rudess??

Maybe if they came out wiht a few more albums , then they could stand a chance...but they need more non-DT-ideas
I can strangle a canary in a tin can and it would be really original, but that wouldn't save it from sounding like utter sh*t.

I like them both equally, there are qualities about both bands that I equally enjoy. I think that if LTE released a few more albums (which to my knowledge they aren't), they would be better than DT.

I haven't heard much of LTE, but from what I've heard they are cool. But Dream Theater has so much more material, so I go based off of that.
