Hi, What we don't say, and it shows, is that what it took to put those things together was so much money, and it involved so many people, to the point of it being impossible. We don't even realize that. ELP even tried the "Wall of Sound" thing and went home, having lost millions. Keith, and the band, never recovered from it. He really wanted to make this his show of how classical the music the band was playing was ... instead, even today, many folks just blow and whistle him down, and find the album offensive, because it ain't a rock'n'roll song and dance routine! The original "The Wall" lost massive amounts of money on the shows (something like 30 trucks or more of stuff!) and it could not be taken everywhere. Luckily, the album covered it all over the years. That he went nutz ... oh well, so have many others! But his history of music producing is quite amazing and was massive on radio in those days. We can't even conceive of that these days!

Certified gun nut, convicted murderer and legendary producer Phil Spector reportedly waved his gun around in the studio during the recording of John Lennon's Rock 'n' Roll album, when John was understandably scared shirtless and couldn't wait to get out of there. Spector even fired a shot into the ceiling when a clearly shaken Lennon said, "You can kill me, but don't hurt my ears. I need them!"
