Ive made a little collage video showcasing my vinyl collection so far. Just a few disclaimers before you watch the video. I only display 6 Now Thats What I Call Music compilations, just 6. And the Nightwish album i have is a limited gold vinyl edition. According to Discogs market place, its my most valuable vinyl.

If I gave only a 1 second view of each album cover I have, my video would be 18.5 minutes long !

I know its not an impressive collection, but i only started in the summer of 2020.   But would anyone have wanted to watch my video if it was 18 mins long? lol

It wasn't a knock...just a fact.
Every collection starts with just a few. I started in the summer of 1970 (age 12).
It looks like you're getting used as well as new pressings. Have you got a want list or do you just rifle the piles to see what you can find?

A mixture of the two to be honest.   Some ended up in my collection because by opportunity, i found them in a thrift store or at a second hand record store or car boot sale.  A few i bought from ebay or discogs.

Some are brand new pressings that came from Amazon.   The Coldplay one was bought from my local ASDA store.   As for a want list.......i would love Trans Siberian Orchestra's album A Christmas Attic, but i cant afford and spare £34 ($46) at the moment.   Id also love Dokken's album Back For the Attack and Bonfire's album Fireworks,  because they are awesome hair rock/metal albums.

When I left Central America 34 years ago, my vinyl collection when to my brother, some 500 albums if I recall correctly. He added his albums and a few he got later, before tapes and eventually CDs took over, and it’s now a little over 1,000. I when back a few times and it’s still there, my brother took care of them properly, with some first editions of many classics albums, like Thick as a Brick, With You Were Here, Selling England By The Pound, etc.

Since i made this thread, i have bought more records, so here is an updated video.

Ive put all the Now Thats What I Call Music comps right at the end this time, so if your not interested it knowing the albums of them i have, you can stop the video after i have mentioned the Whitesnake albums.

Im actually gonna go easy on vinyl buying for the time being, i need to put my money towards other things more now.

I wouldent have minded Alice Coopers album Hey Stoopid, but i cant spare the money for it now.   I had a bit of a blow out because i just had my birthday.
