To those who have heard PFM's new album. Is it a good one? Is it the next Per Un Amico? Or is it a bigger flop than Banco's E... Vie?

Thank you for supporting independently produced music

I am that user. I invite you to read my review. In short, it's an album forced to adapt to the modern currents that propagate electric sounds, with little to highlight and an attempt at originality that doesn't quite work. I don't recommend it... There's too much out there still to listen to to waste time with this, although for fans of PFM or more famous prog it might be a bit interesting... If I'm not mistaken it's only one song where Ian Anderson and Steve Hackett participate.

PFM managed to get Steve Hackett and Ian Anderson to play with them, while Camel could only get Anthony Phillips to play with them.

I gotta say this whole "added celebrity guest stars" syndrome is getting to the point of the ridiculous now in prog. Run out of ideas? Artistically bankrupt? Never mind, add four or five of the hallowed names of the 1970s to your roster for the odd track here and there and the punters will come flocking! And let's not worry about the fact that neither you nor they have done anything very interesting in the last 40-odd years.

I mean maybe it does add to sales - I guess there are a few people who want to have every record Ian Anderson / Eddie Jobson / Spiggy Topes plays on - but for me it's a definitive turnoff.

Ian and Steve are PFM's friends or shall I saw Amicos. Per un Amico is in my top ten prog albums, and I only first heard it a month ago.
