I only know about a third of these 25 albums with Blondie and the Pretenders running in Parallel Lines together in this poll, but Blondie's classic (and best) album just has the edge. Smile

you're putting a list with just anybody not singer-songwriter, but you forget the canadian Anne Murray (not that I ever liked her stuff)

^ I didn't forget them. I just picked a few favourites that's all. There's only room for 25 singer/songwriters in the poll and if I include Anne Murray and Kate & Anna McGarrigle (who I'm not a fan of), then I have to drop two other more favoured names from the list. Ermm

Not sure I would qualify Donna Summer (though I admit not knowing much of her stuff pas the disco years - not that I know of her disco years either) as a s/s, and TBH, the Wilson sisters either. Shocked
Let alone Patti Smith or Joan Jett.Confused

Pretenders! Just relistened to that, in fact. A great album. Not a dull track on there.

Heart are currently leading the poll by just one vote, but could that all be about to change now that Linda Ronstadt has been added to the poll. Smile

So many good albums there but I have to go for Melanie's masterpiece 'Candles in the Rain'.
